4.3-acre site with playground equipment, a pool, sports fields, and basketball courts. The four-room building has a public computing center, weight room, and multi-purpose spaces. Hydration station available. In 1934 this site was dedicated in honor of Ernest L. Tustin. Tustin worked to secure funding for the playground in 1921 when he served as the city's Director of Welfare. The city purchased land here but did not improve it for public use until 1931. Tustin, a lawyer, served as state senator. He helped establish the Legal Aid Bureau to help address social injustices. Tustin was active in the Baptist church and many charitable causes. He also served as President of the Playground Association. At the time of his death, he was praised for his "devotion to the cause of children...and his persistent efforts to obtain sufficient playgrounds for them."
