This 5.6-acre site offers something for everyone. Outside, there is playground equipment, a sprinkler and pool, sports fields, and basketball courts. The eight-room building includes a gymnasium, public computing center, boxing gym, and multi-purpose rooms. Activities are offered for youth, adults and families. The site was named in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. It opened in 1970. In 2014 the mural "Staircases and Mountaintops: Ascending Beyond the Dream" by Willis "Nomo" Humphrey.
