This 9.6-acre site was created in 1929. It has playground equipment, a hockey court, pool, hockey, tennis and basketball courts, and sports fields. The rec building has a gym with stage, weight room, and multi-purpose room for activities. In 1950 the site was named for Thomas E. Jardel from Burholme, who lost his life in WWII. On February 28, 1942, Jardel's Navy ship was torpedoed and sunk off the coast of Cape May, NJ by a German submarine.
