A 2.8-acre site with playground equipment, a pool, basketball court, sports fields, and a community garden. The one-room building's multi-purpose space hosts of youth-based activities. Hydration station available. In 1972 this site was named in honor of Charles Henry Chew, a funeral director and community leader. Originally from Allentown, New Jersey, Chew served in the army medical corps in WWI. After being wounded in France and sent home, he re-enlisted. After the war he settled in Philadelphia established a funeral home at 21st and Christian. Chew was active with the NAACP, Christian Street YMCA, and Wesley AME Zion Church. He died in 1968.
