This 4.7-acre site has a wide-array of offerings. Outside there is play equipment, a sprayground and pool, basketball courts, and sports fields. The six-room building houses an auditorium, gymnasium, boxing gym, public computing center, and multi-purpose rooms. Many activities are offered at this busy site. This site was originally known as the "Jefferson Baseball Grounds." The Philadelphia Athletics (the 'A's) played here from 1876 to 1890. The site was later developed as a playground. The 'A's went on to play at Connie Mack Stadium before moving to Kansas City in the 1950s.
