Tools for Heroes: Belfield

The Philadelphia Parks Alliance and Keep Philadelphia Beautiful teamed up with Lowe’s to provide 10 Rec Centers with mini grants totaling $8,000 for tools.

Belfield Rec Center will use their grant for:

We will be using the certificate to beautify and grow our vegetables and Herbs Garden Boxes. Having the tools will allow us to keep a well kept garden, which will help them to continue to grow more. We would also like to put fencing around each one of the boxes, and we have seven boxes. By sharing our garden we are helping to keep the community together in a healthier and positive way.
