On April 10, 2007 parks groups launched a citywide campaign to fully fund and reform the governance of Philadelphia's struggling parks system. The campaign of park, advocacy and community groups was led by the Philadelphia Parks Alliance (PPA) to advance City Council's efforts to reform Fairmount Park. Over 100 leaders announced the start of "Citizen Park Inspections" of Fairmount and Recreation parks citywide. The Parks Alliance and parks friends documented and reported their findings to City Council and the public in a Citizens Hearing. The "Parks In Trouble" report is available on our website, under Other Publications.Below are some photos from the beta ParkInspection Trial.
