In memory of Mike McCrea
It is with great sadness the Philadelphia Parks Alliance mourns the passing of our dear friend, Michael McCrea. Through the last four mayoral administrations, Mike McCrea has held leadership positions in the Philadelphia Recreation Advisory Council-- serving in recent years as the President of PRAC. Mike is survived by his wife Debbie, their children, and grandchildren.
Beyond his role as President of PRAC, Mike served as President of the Feltonville Recreation Center Advisory Council, was a judge at the annual Mummer's Day Parade, a pig farmer at Manatawa Farm, and a doting grandfather--all in addition to his "day job" with the Philadelphia Water Department.
Mike's family will receive visitors and friends at St. Ambrose Catholic Church at C St. & Roosevelt Boulevard, Saturday November 4th at 9am, with mass to follow at 10am.
In lieu of flowers, to honor Mike's life work, the Philadelphia Parks Alliance has established the Mike McCrea Memorial Fund, which will be dedicated to supporting recreation centers and advisory councils across the City of Philadelphia. In addition, please join us for us a special tribute to Mike at Celebration 2017 on November 15th at City Hall.
